Monthly Arlington SEPAC meeting, March 10th, 7:30pm

What is SEPAC? Arlington’s Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) is a volunteer parent group that acts as a resource for parents and caregivers and advises the district and the School Committee regarding meeting the needs of students with disabilities in Arlington. Each school district in the state is required to have a SEPAC.

Agenda:

  1. District and SEPAC updates

  2. Overview of the pending town override, with a focus on special education

  3. Update on Gibbs communications

  4. Discussion of how to improve the dispute resolution process

Meet the Candidates: An Evening with School Committee Candidates (virtual)

During the week of March 16th, SEPAC will host conversations with several of the candidates running for School Committee this year — take this opportunity to get to know them — the vote is March 28th! More details and Zoom link coming soon in a special edition newsletter.

Woburn SEPAC Hosts 20th Annual College and Transition Fair

Where: Woburn Memorial High School on Wednesday, March 25 from 6-8 p.m. As always, the event will be personal, comfortable, and less overwhelming than the typical college fair, with a smaller scale and more time to ask questions, gather information, and make connections.
